First Annual Bella Strada

We found out about this very cool event via a very special person, Mary Ellen Fresquez.  Yes, she is related!  She's our manager's mom.  She owns Gallery 225 and frequently supports Save the Family, an organization that emphasizes in care and aid to homeless families, especially those with children.
Bella Strada is an event that also supports Save the Family.  It was held this past weekend at San Tan Village in Gilbert (Williams Field Road and the 202).  It is an Italian street painting festival in which artists use pastels and chalks that Marcy, the promotor, hopes to hold the every year around Easter time.  The paintings are produced over a two or three day period and then washed away at the end of the third day.  Wow!

and yes, of course, Jerry's (and our house brand pastels, Mungyo Gallery) was a sponsor...see above.
